Information from the Transportation Department:
With school in session for a few months now, the Transportation Department has settled down a bit and has some brief updates.
There is still space available on some buses. If you wish to utilize bus transportation, the cost is $325 per student for the school year. Please feel free to contact the Transportation Department for more information via email email@example.com or phone (508) 553-4815.
A few reminders for winter safety:
- All students waiting for the bus should try to be on the sidewalk, at the end of a driveway or as close to the sidewalk corner as possible.
- Any students who are waiting in cars should be out of the car with all necessary belongings prior to the arrival of the bus at the stop.
- For parents waiting for the bus with students, cars should be parked as close as possible to the side of the road and far enough back from the corner as not to hinder the flow of traffic.
- Franklin DPW works hard to keep our roads and sidewalks clear for everyone. Please support the DPW and help all students stay safe by clearing snow from the sidewalks in front of your home.
Reminder: All students should be at the bus stop 5 minutes prior to the arrival of the bus.
As always the goal of the Transportation Department to ensure that all students arrive to and from school in a safe and timely manner.
ENJOY YOUR HOLIDAY SEASON!
