BUS SIGN UP FOR THE 2017 - 2018 SCHOOL YEAR HAS BEGUN!
SIGN UP EARLY TO GUARANTEE YOUR SEAT ON THE BUS!
The 2017 – 2018 transportation policy is
- All students in grades K through 6 who reside more than 2.0 miles from their assigned schools will be bused free of charge.
- Students in grades 7 through 12 are not eligible for free bus transportation
The cost per child is $325.00 with a cap of $975.00 per family. Applications must be received before June 12, 2017. First payment (½ or full) will be due at the time of enrollment. The second payment (balance) will be due by July 10, 2017.
Acceptable forms of payment include:
- Check or Money Order (payable to “Town of Franklin”)
- MasterCard or Discover, only payable online and subject to a convenience fee.
- Electronic Check. Online payment by electronic check is subject to a $.25 fee.
The Pay To Ride Program enrollment period is available now thru June 12, 2017. Students who enroll during this time period will be guaranteed bus seats. The only exceptions to this deadline will be for families who move into Franklin (or relocate within Franklin after June 12, 2017). Parents who do not meet the June 12th regular enrollment deadline will be placed on a waiting list and will have a second opportunity to enroll their child/children on a space available basis as of September 25, 2017.

Bus passes may be picked up at your child’s school the week of August 21–25. Bus routes will be posted on the district's website not later than August 11th.
It is spring in the Transportation Department has been busy preparing for the upcoming 2017-2018 school year. Please look for your sign up letters in the mail the second week in May. This begins our active sign up period for the 2017-2018 school year. If you do not get a letter by May 15th you should contact the Transportation Department at 508-553-4815.
Remember to sign up early to guarantee your seat on the bus. The high school and middle school buses fill up fast. People signing up after the June 12th deadline risk not getting a seat on the bus.
Please note that refunds are only issued on a case-by-case basis only prior to the start of the school year.
